The Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills Area Chamber of Commerce (GLMV) is the largest and most active chamber in Lake County, Illinois. The GLMV Chamber of Commerce is an active and positive voice on behalf of its members, working to create a favorable environment for business.
The contiguous villages of Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein and Vernon Hills are located in the wooded lake-lands of northeastern Illinois. Between Chicago and Milwaukee, and within easy reach of each, the area provides gracious suburban living--occasionally in a rural atmosphere--with housing that ranges from stately historic homes on one-acre to five-acre homesites to bungalows, condos and townhomes, as well as well-appointed row houses.
Newcomers continue to move to the area, which is known for its quality schools, vibrant downtowns and strong neighborhoods. There is a mix of over 35,000 dwelling units in the four villages. Careful planning and zoning ordinances continue to protect property values.
