With nearly 700 members, the GLMV Chamber of Commerce is the largest and most active chamber in Lake County, Illinois. The Chamber is a membership driven organization designed to help our member business and communities achieve their goals. Through the efforts of members and volunteers, the Chamber fosters a competitive business climate focused on growth, prosperity and excellent quality of life. Chamber policies and positions are set by a board that meets monthly. The board sets the Chamber's program of work, which serves as a blueprint to guide the organization. The Chamber also works closely with many governmental bodies, but receives no public funding. Communities The GLMV Chamber serves the communities of Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, and Vernon Hills. Our Chamber also welcomes businesses and organizations outside this geographical area that are interested in doing business here. Our current roster represents members from four states as well as numerous towns and villages throughout the Chicagoland area. GLMV Chamber members range from large corporations to home-based entrepreneurs. Business Advocate Our Chamber is an advocate for business, helping members to grow and prosper through networking, seminars, tradeshows, business shows and business opportunities. Voice for Industry Our Chamber is the voice for local industry, speaking up for business with government leaders about issues involving our communities and providing services to promote local commerce. Community Voice In addition, our Chamber is the voice for the GLMV community, helping to coordinate talents of local business people with issues from economic development to downtown redevelopment, transportation and schools. Visitors Bureau The Chamber also serves as a visitors bureau, promoting our villages to the many people inquiring about this area as a place to visit, to recreate and to relocate. Our Mission It is the mission of the Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills Area Chamber of Commerce to be an active and positive force on behalf of its members and create a favorable environment for business. Further, the GLMV will act as the medium for promoting economic and social progress in our area, fostering a sense of community. GLMV Chamber of Commerce Location & Hours The GLMV Chamber of Commerce office is staffed Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5pm. The office may be occasionally closed for a Chamber function.
