The GLMV Chamber of Commerce is Lake County's largest chamber with more than 700 members. The GLMV Chamber is an advocate for business, actively supporting and promoting local business in the bustling Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein and Vernon Hills area. We further provide numerous programs and services to highlight individual business and help create a healthy economic business climate in the GLMV area. The Chamber offers a variety of networking events, marketing opportunities, publications, educational seminars, trade and business expos, helping members to grow and prosper. As the voice of GLMV businesses of all types and sizes, we offer leadership on business issues, speaking out for business to build and strengthen area commerce. The Chamber is also a community representative, promoting these family-oriented villages to those inquiring about the GLMV area as a place to visit, recreate, work, relocate and live. Here's what Chamber membership does for you: Annual Events: Exhibit, demonstration, sponsorship and networking opportunities are available for annual Chamber events. Chamber Publications: The Chamber offers a variety of community publications, including a Community Guide, maps, and more highlighting the GLMV area. These publications are distributed free to local residents and businesses. The Chamber also produces a monthly member newsletter. Community Participation: The Chamber has participated in several community programs during the year including the American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life," helping to raise funds for cancer research. Educational Workshops: Workshops and Seminars are held to educate GLMV business people on a variety of topics. FREE Advertising: New and renewing members receive free ads in local media - a $1,500 value. New businesses also are listed in the GLMV monthly member newsletter and on the Chamber website. Marketing/Advertising: Through sponsoring and/or hosting Business Mixers or Monthly Luncheons, advertising in Chamber publications, displaying promotional materials at the Chamber, referrals, annual trade shows and more, the Chamber provides many ways for members to market their products/services and increase their visibility and exposure. Media: We work and partner with local media to promote member businesses, arts and cultural events and develop a positive image for the community. Member promotional mailings: Members can request mailing labels/disk or blast eMails for their promotional mailings or announcements. Member-to-Member Discount Program: Participating members offer special discounts and benefits to other Chamber members. Monthly Networking Events: The Chamber holds regular networking events designed to put your company in touch with other professionals: FREE Business After-Hours Mixers and Monthly Luncheons hosted or sponsored by member businesses, annual events and educational seminars. The Chamber also has three networking groups that each meet two times a month and one group that meets weekly, plus a Women’s Networking Group that meets once a month. We give you the opportunity to meet and create relationships - the ideal way to grow your business. Recognition: Door decals and a membership certificate that can be framed identify Chamber members as a part of the GLMV business community. Referrals: The Chamber office refers hundreds of callers and potential customers to member businesses. Ribbon Cutting: Celebrate a ribbon cutting at your place of business. We'll photograph the event to appear in our monthly newsletter. Member Newsletter: Members stay up to date with Action News. This valuable and attractive monthly e-publication features the latest Chamber and community news and events, plus business news, tips and information.
