The GLMV Chamber is an advocate for business, actively supporting and promoting local business in the bustling Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein and Vernon Hills area. We further provide numerous programs and services to highlight individual business and help create a healthy economic business climate in the GLMV area. The Chamber offers a variety of networking events, marketing opportunities, publications, educational seminars, trade and business expos, helping members to grow and prosper. As the voice of GLMV businesses of all types and sizes, we offer leadership on business issues, speaking out for business to build and strengthen area commerce. The Chamber is also a community representative, promoting these family-oriented villages to those inquiring about the GLMV area as a place to visit, recreate, work, relocate and live. Here's what Chamber membership does for your business: Annual Events: Exhibit, demonstration, sponsorship, networking and purchasing opportunities are available for annual Chamber events, including Business to Business Expo, Business to Consumer EXPO, Golf Outing, Membership & Recognition Gala, and more. Business After Hours Mixers – FREE! Various businesses host our most popular monthly events. Network and enjoy refreshments with business professionals in an informal setting. People prefer to do business with those they know, so bring plenty of business cards and a guest or two! Chamber Publications: The Chamber offers a variety of community publications, including a Community Guide, Shop Local magazine, maps, and more highlighting the GLMV area. These publications are distributed free to local residents and businesses, and offer many marketing opportunities. The Chamber also produces a weekly e-newsletter. Community Participation: The Chamber participates in several community programs during the year including the American Cancer Society's "Relay For Life," helping to raise funds for cancer research. E-Newsletter: Members stay up to date with E-Action News. This valuable e-publication features the latest Chamber and community news and events, business news, tips and information, and economical advertising and marketing opportunities. Educational Workshops: Workshops, Seminars and Free Munch & Learns are held to educate GLMV business people on a variety of timely and useful topics, such as customer service, marketing, social media, and others. FREE Advertising: Members receive free listings in local media - a $1,500 value. New businesses also are listed in the GLMV e-newsletter and on the Chamber website. Marketing/Advertising: Through sponsoring and/or hosting Business Mixers or Monthly Luncheons, advertising in Chamber publications, displaying promotional materials at the Chamber, referrals, annual trade shows and more, the Chamber provides many ways for members to market their products/services and increase their visibility and exposure. Media: We work and partner with local media to promote member businesses, arts and cultural events and develop a positive image for the community. Member Directory Your business will be listed in the on-line member directory on the Chamber’s web site www.glmvchamber.org. Members also have the opportunity to insert further details about their business, directions, photos, and links to their web site and e-mail address. Member Promotional E-Blasts: We will send an individual e-blast for your business to our complete distribution list. Monthly Luncheons: The Chamber holds regular networking events designed to put your company in touch with other professionals, including Monthly Luncheons with speakers addressing timely topics held at member businesses. Networking Groups Our 3x2 Networking Group meets twice monthly, Weekly Business Interchange meets Thursday’s, plus a monthly Women’s Networking Group and Lake County Young Professionals. We give you the opportunity to meet and create relationships - the ideal way to grow your business. Recognition: Door decals and a membership certificate that can be framed identify Chamber members as a part of the GLMV business community. Referrals: The Chamber receives many inquiries for business referrals. Your business will be referred over non-members when the Chamber receives inquires for referrals – MEMBERS GET FIRST PRIORITY! Ribbon Cutting: Hold a ribbon cutting at your business. We provide ribbon, giant cutting scissors, and invite our members. We will also include a picture in the E-Action News newsletter announcing your event. Sponsorships: Showcase your business by sponsoring Chamber events and programs. Sponsorship opportunities include the Business to Business Expo, Business to Consumer EXPO, Golf Outing, Membership & Recognition Gala, Seminars, Lunches, Website advertising, and more. Sponsorships are a key way for you to increase your business visibility. Website: Visit the GLMV Chamber Web site often to learn what's new at the Chamber. With about 19,000 hits a month, the GLMV site includes Hot Deals (Member discounts), job posting, event listings and more.
