    Accountant
    Full-Time Position
    Location: Libertyville, IL
    Wage Range: $56,565 – $70,735 – $84,905

    SUMMARY
    The Accountant utilizes professional accounting knowledge in order to implement generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. Monitors transactions to ensure compliance with District policies and procedures. Responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports for large recreational programs including cost of goods sold and inventory reconciliations. Works with department directors in preparation of the annual budget. Prepares and maintains annual budget reports. Prepares account reconciliations and records fixed assets, grants, payroll and Preservation Foundation activities. Prepares monthly sales tax return. Provides account analysis to independent auditors for annual audit. Drives a motorized vehicle to travel to different locations. Performs tasks that will require walking, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, climbing, reaching and sitting. Performs lifting tasks up to 25 pounds.
    EXPERIENCE
    Associate's Degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance. Three years accounting experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to collect, compile and analyze facts and exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions and translating observations and results into clear, concise reports. Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Must possess valid driver’s license.
