Libertyville Manor Generations of Care, 610 Peterson Road (Rte. 137), Libertyville, IL is open for business as usual.

All line staff who work directly in caring for the seniors who are residents reported for work.

"This is a testament to the dedication of our staff," said Mike Babicz, marketing director.  "Our staff comes from Kenosha County in Wisconsin, Lake, McHenry, DuPage and Cook Counties in Illinois. They made it in the snow on Monday and in the cold today.  There were no call outs for overnight staff as well."

Milan Stokovich, assistant administrator and member of the founding family of the 40-acre campus, noted there is one small roof leak along the building's edge, probably due to a ice jam. Libertyville Manor will be celebrating 40 years at the Libertyville location in April, and the Stokovich family has been providing senior care since 1949 having spent the first 30 years in Lake Villa.

Providing 24 hour care, 7 days per week, does not allow a community like Libertyville Manor to close.

Young At Heart Preschool, located in the same building, did close January 30 due to parents indicating they did not plan to bring their children in. YAH reopened today.
