- We meet 1st & 3rd Fridays
- Location: GLMV 1123 S Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville
- Doors open @ 7:30 am. Meeting from 7:45 to 9:00 am
- Meet two presenters each First Friday meeting
- Learn how to address business challenges from other like-minded business owners each Third Friday.
- Take the time to have a conversation, and get to know people. We understand it takes more than a few seconds.

Proud to have been part of the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Along with our Command Staff, and with the commitment of our Deputies, CID, Marine Unit, TCs, support staff, and Auxiliary Deputy Unit -- exceptional services were delivered. Served as Chief of Law Enforcement and Community Services, and as Chief of Administration. Responsible for delivery of police services through Highway Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Court Security, the Marine Unit and support services. Achieved both ILEAP and CALEA Accreditation, which contributed to the Lake County Sheriff's Office receiving 'Triple Crown' distinction from the National Sheriff's Association. Only one of 44 Sheriff's Offices in the nation to have earned this status. Led many community engagement initiatives to include ensuring safe schools, places of worship, and businesses with ALICE training; implementation of the Veteran’s Ambassador Program to ensure prior service members ‘in-crisis’ and ‘in-need’ were immediately assessed and/or provided services; and implementation of the “A Way Out’ program in which immediate assistance was provided to persons seeking treatment for substance-abuse.

Vernon Hills Police Department
January 1993 – April 2017
Proudly served as a Patrol Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, Commander, and Deputy Chief. Served for 11 years as Deputy Chief, including nine years overseeing Support Services and three years overseeing Operations. Ensured the delivery of exceptional services and exemplary policing, which contributed to Vernon Hills emerging as one of the safest communities to live, shop, work, and play. Achieved CALEA Accreditation, and instilled a community-policing model in which partnerships to ensure positive relationships were maintained with the residential, business and retail communities.

Proudly served the State of Illinois as a member of the Illinois Army National Guard. Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) achieved was Military Police. Served in the 33rd Military Police Battalion, which included service in Panama.

Proudly served in America’s Guard of Honor – the 82d Airborne Division. Stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Military Occupational Specialty achieved was Infantryman. Served in the Middle East as a Peacekeeper with the Multi-National Force Observers.

"Real Services to Veterans and their families -- just ask them." Proud of Mary Carmody and all her staff for their efforts of taking care of veterans in-need. Each Fall, awareness is created for this vital resource through the annual Law Enforcement Coat Drive, where clothing and donations are collected and delivered by Veteran's Day.
