    About Us

    Mr. Treadway and his team have helped thousands of Executors and Downsizers sell the contents of their homes, often containing a lifetime of accumulated items. He has served as an estate executor four times. He cares deeply about helping others find good homes for their possessions. With a family history filled with fine furnishings and collectibles, he began conducting estate sales in 1995. In December, 2006, Mr. Treadway founded the first Caring Transitions office. Currently, 274 offices operate across the United States. Mr. Treadway specializes in public, private & online estate liquidation services, as well as the appraisal of personal property.

    As a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Mr. Treadway has served in numerous operational and managerial roles. A veteran of the US Navy, participating in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Sharp Edge, he became a Lifetime Member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars).

    A Nationally Certified Appraiser with the International Society of Appraisers, Mr. Treadway stays abreast of trends in collectibles, fine art and antiques. He is the Vice-President of the Board of Directors for the International Society of Appraisers. Currently, he volunteers as a board member for Senior Services Associates in northern Illinois. Additionally, Mr. Treadway is a member of Leadership Northbrook and Leadership Greater McHenry County (LGMC). He has served on the board of Faith in Action (Senior Services) and the County Mental Health Board. He has served as a volunteer County Commissioner on the Senior Services Grant Commission.
